Our Trains
Train 1
Atlantic LNG began commercial operation on March 13, 1999 with Train 1. Train 1 was the first LNG facility to operate in the Atlantic basin and the second in the Western hemisphere. Completed one month ahead of schedule and under budget, Train 1’s first cargo was delivered on April 30, 1999 to the LNG carrier, The Matthew, bound for the Distrigas terminal in Boston, Massachusetts. The facility was handed over to Atlantic operators by EPC contractor Bechtel Overseas Inc. on June 14, 1999.

Train 4
Construction of Train 4 commenced in 2003. The project was completed ahead of schedule in December 2005, despite work stoppages, and achieved a safety record of 14.7 million hours worked without injury. The first cargo was lifted on January 8, 2006 onto the British Merchant.
