Contribution Guidelines
Atlantic provides assistance to projects and charitable organizations, in the form of donations that are governed by the criteria outlined below. Please direct all requests for donations to:

Contribution Criteria
Atlantic LNG’s key areas of focus are Children, Education and our home community of Point Fortin.
Education
- Reading, general literacy improvement programmes
- Programmes that help school administrators and teachers understand the business of Atlantic LNG and the gas industry
Point Fortin
Preference will be given to ventures which benefit Point Fortin
- Projects which benefit the community as opposed to an individual will be more favourably considered
- Atlantic LNG will support the participation of individuals making a contribution at the national level to represent the country abroad
Recognizing that Atlantic LNG cannot support every worthy proposal, the following are general criteria by which donation requests will be reviewed:
Civic/Community
- Projects that stimulate community life in partnership with key civic and community leaders and organizations
- Initiatives which address crime prevention and safety issues
- Programmes that address environmental issues where Atlantic LNG outputs impact the community
Arts and Culture
- Projects and programs that are rich in cultural diversity and provide broad educational experiences
- Exhibits, events and performances on a selected and limited basis, and with a strong educational component
Health/Human Services
- Human service organizations that work collaboratively with educational and or health institutions on clearly defined community needs. Atlantic’s involvement will be clearly credited so that we are not distanced from those we wish to help
- Non-profit organizations that help senior citizens, the disabled and other health related groups for programs that enhance the quality of life
- Disaster relief efforts on a case by case basis
- Organizations who support the physically and mentally challenged
Atlantic LNG will consider:
- Only one contribution per financial year to an organization
- Projects and programmes for which assistance is measurable
- Programmes in which employees of Atlantic LNG have an interest providing that it is within the parameters of the policy will be considered
- Projects which have the potential to offer a positive association in the eyes of our stakeholders (Employees, Point Fortin Community, Business Associate, Media, National Community, Government of Trinidad and Tobago)
- Organisations receiving assistance must be properly constituted and accountable
Atlantic LNG will not consider requests from:
- Organizations that discriminate because of race, colour, religion, national origin, citizenship, sex, age, and mental or physical disability
- Political organizations, candidates for political office and organizations primary purpose is to influence laws
- Religious organizations when denominational or sectarian in purpose
- Individuals, except involved in altruistic ventures that will benefit the larger community
- Organizations which receive sizable portions of their support from central or local government. This includes assistance from overseas
- Organizations/clubs benefiting a select group
- Bankable projects, i.e. projects whose main aim is to profit an individual or organization
