Andrew Lewis

Andrew has been sailing since he was seven years old, and in 2012, he became the first sailor in 48 years to represent Trinidad and Tobago at an Olympic Games, competing in the Men’s Laser Class. He represented Trinidad and Tobago again at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – a courageous and inspiring return to competition following a life-threatening accident in December 2015.

Andrew is also passionate about giving back and his work with young people includes sailing programmes across the country, as well as raising awareness about dyslexia and Attention-Deficit-Disorder (ADD). He has established the Andrew Lewis Foundation which is aimed at creating opportunities for young people to develop their untapped potential.
