Kieron Pollard

Kieron represented the West Indies in the 2006 Under-19 World Cup, then rose to fame when he scored 83 for Trinidad and Tobago in the Stanford Twenty/20 tournament in August 2006. Five months later, Kieron would later be called to join the West Indies’ senior team, where he made an impressive international debut with a knock of 126 from 71 balls. Since then, Kieron, who hails from Maloney, has made a name for himself as an aggressive all-rounder in the shorter Twenty/20 version of the game internationally, playing with teams such as the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premiership League (IPL) and the Barbados Tridents in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

Kieron is passionate about helping the next generation of young cricketers develop their potential. In 2012, he developed a scholarship programme to enable one young cricketer the opportunity to play club cricket in the United Kingdom. Through a partnership with Atlantic, the programme was expanded and since 2014, the Atlantic/Kieron Pollard Scholarship has created an opportunity for two (2) young cricketers to participate in the English county cricket season.
