Doing Business with Atlantic

Service providers wishing to do business with Atlantic must go through our pre-qualification process above.


Assessment Categories
  • Technical assessment 

    – Nature of services – consultancy, catering, supply of equipment, supply of maintenance services

    – Personnel providing service – staff complement, competency of personnel, systems for training and development

    – Processes used (Site visit for validation)

  • HSE assessment

    – Safe-to-Work (STOW) certification – Effective January 1, 2014, all companies wishing to do business with Atlantic must be STOW-certified. For foreign companies, if STOW certification is not required, there must be an equivalent certification acceptable to Atlantic. For more information on STOW, click here.

    – Point Lisas Energy Association (PLEA) Certification – Effective June 1, 2013, all service provider personnel must be PLEA certified to work on Atlantic’s sites. Foreign companies can contact the Houston Area Safety Council to complete PLEA assessments.


    – Fatigue Management – Effective July 1, 2013, all companies wishing to do business with Atlantic must comply with Atlantic’s Consecutive Working Period Policy.

    – Fit-for-Work – Oil and Gas UK (UKOOA) medical, plus a fasting blood glucose test applicable for service provider personnel on-site; Frequency – every two (2) years; deadline for implementation – July 1, 2014

  • Financial assessment

    – Financial Statements/Management Accounts – status of the business, status of audited accounts

    – Standing with bankersInsurance being carried for services being offered

  • Governance assessment

    – Involvement in any litigation in the past five (5) years

    – Awareness of any claims or suits pending or threatened

    – Confirmation that the company will not be forced to stop doing business by order of the court
